it’s official: we aren’t beach people.  although henri loved the sand and the deserted and shady beach at 8 am was nice, they didn’t quite compensate for the 2 hour bus ride there and back (especially with henri screaming all the way home).

on the upside, henri has become quite the photographer (see below).

at least, i salvaged the day with some great shots of the h-man.  this one is, as they say, priceless.  and, considering how often he smiles for the camera, it’s also  rare.

True Paradise

We spent the last day of the year in Jamaica’s hidden gem–Mavis Bank and Forres Park (our future home!) in St. Andrew’s Parish, where Mark and I discovered true paradise. We call it paradise not only because the mountain climate is perfect and views are spectacular, but because most of the mountainside is covered in coffee bean plants! Now, that’s bliss.
